Meredith Wolpert, MC ‘15, received the Love Family Foundation Scholarship awarded by Georgia Tech for her outstanding scholastic record. The Love Family Foundation Scholarship is given to only two Georgia Tech students and is one of the highest awards Georgia Tech gives to a student each year. It is given to the graduating senior who has the “most outstanding scholastic record of all members of the class.” She also was one of only one hundred students across the entire United States to receive Poets and Quants “Best and Brightest Class of 2019” award which is given to the best and brightest Business majors across all of the undergraduate students in the United States. She will be going on to work at LinkedIn now that she has graduated. We are so incredibly proud of Meredith and all of her hard work!

Rachel Corbin, MC ‘13, began her career with Deloitte with an internship the summers after her second and third year at tech. After receiving her degree in Business, she then was offered a full time position in September of 2017. She began as an IT Data Analyst for Deloitte, but has now recently become a Business Technology Analyst. She can travel to many different places as she consults for them. We can’t wait to see where this path will take her next.

Lexi Jerding, MC’ 19: “During my time at Tech, my first priority was achieving academically in the Biomedical Engineering Department. My second priority was building strong relationships with people, most of which I found in Zeta. Outside of those, I spent two years working with Engineers Without Borders developing a sustainable sanitation system for impoverished countries and educating young students on the importance of health and science. Throughout my time at Tech I had three internships with Flow MedTech, Fogarty Innovation, and Alcon. My experience with those companies ultimately lead me to Biosense Webster, a J&J subsidiary that I will be starting my career with. My role at BWI is an Associate Clinical Account Specialist. As an ACAS I will be trained on how to use BWI’s 3D heart mapping technology which I will ultimately operate to assist cardiac surgeons during arrhythmia ablations.”

Emily Bohannon, MC ‘15, who was the recording Secretary of Iota Theta from 2017-2018, worked as a mobility flight systems intern at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory during the summer of 2018. During this time, she worked on the 2020 Mars Rover. Now that she has successfully earned her Mechanical Engineering Degree, she will be working for NASA as a Systems Engineer.

During her time as a Zeta, Emily was an example to everyone around her in the best ways possible. She studied for endless hours at the back table of our kitchen, but was always willing to stop and talk to anyone who came up to her, no matter how stressed or busy she was. She was always an avid participator in Greek Week and Homecoming activities and had a knack for finding the fun in everything (win or lose). We are so lucky to have someone like Emily to look up to, and we cannot wait to see her succeed at NASA!
