Chapter History

The Iota Theta Chapter has been a vital part of the Georgia Tech community ever since 1984. We are so proud to be Georgia Tech students, and love that being part of Iota Theta enriches our college experience every day.

We love to support Georgia Tech’s campus-wide fundraisers, events, and activities. From cheering on our Yellow Jackets in Bobby Dodd to representing Georgia Tech in professional and academic competitions, having our network of sisters makes every experience even more enjoyable than the last.

We can't wait to share our sisterhood with you!

Chapter awards

During the 2021-2022 school year, our chapter received numerous different awards for our outstanding events, leadership, and contributions as individuals and a chapter as a whole. We received both the Quota/Total Award from Zeta Nationals as well as the Collegiate Crown Chapter award from Zeta Nationals.

Moreover, we received the Founder’s Club $25,000 Level 2020-2022 from the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation for our philanthropic endeavors. It is with such pride that we received so many amazing awards, as it is clear that our hard work and devotion to this organization does not go unnoticed.

A letter from our President

Hey!

My name is Ayusha Prasad and I am so grateful to be serving as Zeta Tau Alpha’s Chapter President this year. Being a member of this chapter means being a part of a community that supports you through the college experience to reach your full potential by offering opportunities for leadership, academic achievement, service, sisterhood, and much more!

Through out my time at Zeta Tau Alpha, not only did I feel immediately welcome and accepted by the women around me, but I quickly began to find a home within the walls our house and within my sisters. The women I have met through our chapter are not only best friends of mine but sources of inspiration, reminding me daily to show up for those around me, work hard, and love with purpose. Being a part of this chapter has accelerated my growth as a person and a leader, and I feel immense pride as I see the mentorship between older and younger members.

Our chapter is in great hands with our amazing group of girls who are delighted to serve on our Executive Committee and hardworking advisors for whom we are so thankful. There are so many great things coming this year, and I am looking forward to being able to give back to my chapter, as it has given so much to me!
