Every Zeta has a different story, and a different reason why Zeta feels like home… here’s just a few!

Brooke Ulmanis, MC ‘17 “Joining Zeta helped me not only transition into my dream school but thrive in it by giving me a mentor, countless opportunities to get involved, and lifelong friends. Zeta helped me realize the strengths I had not seen in myself and provided me the opportunity to see them through in leadership positions alongside girls who believe in me. I cannot imagine my time here at Tech without this inspiring group of girls.”

Camila Scharlach MC ‘18 “During recruitment, the first impression zeta made on me was their black tent. Something so random and simple but it was the first glimpse I got at the spunky girls I would come to know and love. Zeta isn’t a place of perfection, it’s a place where people embrace each other’s mistakes, laugh about it together and then proceed to support each other in whatever way is needed. From joining each other on the couch for a nap after lunch to attempting Bob Ross paintings, it is the connection we all have that makes not only our events, but everyday lives together memorable and fun. It’s the girls, it’s the fact that we are always ready to have fun, it’s the determination, it’s the admiration and respect we all have for one another, it’s the amount of work everyone puts in, it’s why I’m so proud to be Zeta.”

Emma Whitson, MC ‘18 “The transition into freshman year was absolutely overwhelming, to say the least. Leaving my family and coming to this extremely rigorous school with so many unfamiliar faces challenged me on basically every level, and I often felt like I couldn’t catch my breath. I had no dog or mother or homecooked food to console me during times of trouble. Joining Zeta allowed me to be surrounded by wonderful people that offered comfort, advice, and genuine friendship. These people constantly encourage me to flourish and be the best possible version of myself while keeping me humble at the same time. It really is a perfect balance, and this past year was the best year of my life. My happiness and ability to thrive at Tech is in large part due to the wonderful girls that I met through Zeta.”

Carson Silbert, MC ‘16 “I chose Zeta because of how comfortable and natural I felt around everyone there. I never had to hide my true self and never felt pressured to be someone I’m not. During the past few years, my friends here have helped me grow into the best version of myself and I’m unbelievably grateful for that.”
